Automated Parking System Working Model
Brief Description:
The project aimed to design a Dual Raising shaft automated parking system working model. The model was of a three storied parking platform. A network of Infrared sensors were mounted to monitor the position of the shaft and occupied places. Arduino embedded platform was deployed for the processing. Multiple interfaces were installed in order to interact with the user.
On the arrival of the new car, the system decides the place where the incoming car will be placed and the shaft that will be taking the minimum amount of time to execute the transfer. Then the car is picked from the ground floor and placed at the destination position. A unique key was then provided to the user and an array of LED's displayed the occupied places.
The user can then used the provided key to register a retrieve for their car. One of the shaft then goes to the specific position and retrieves the car at the specific position.
